Birthing
Blocks, #100 - Your Wish is My Command... June 9, 2007 From the Editor: Submit a Question or Comment Hello and Welcome! I hope this issue finds you well. This issue covers my goal to give you the information you seek. Enjoy! Catherine TABLE OF CONTENTS *Choose Your Topic *Featured Articles *The Birthing Boutique Choose Your Topic, Any Topic My ultimate goal in building this site was to provide evidence-based information on giving birth naturally to those seeking it. Emails have been trickling in requesting information on specific topics. As a result, I have created a poll to allow you to tell me what information you need. If you haven't checked it out yet, go to Child Birth Polls. Polls will change as needed to best serve you. You can always send me an email to request a specific topic and I'll do my best to either address the information as a section on the site or respond personally to you. Featured Articles If you've read the Critical Skills for Birthing section, you'll be well aware that relaxation is the foundation of a comfortable natural birth. I just can't stress this enough. Once relaxation is mastered, the rest of the pieces fall into place. I've recently added another article in this section. Be sure to check it out. Additionally, I've received several emails requesting more information on obtaining relaxation scripts or audio recordings. Well, your wish has been granted! I'm pleased to announce that I have both an audio and written version of a relaxation script I used to birth my children now available with more versions in the works. Check out the free sample here. When you consider that an epidural costs upwards of $1500, they're well worth $3.99. If you are searching instead for an entire birthing program, then I highly recommend The Pink Kit. It's a great alternative if few effective education classes are available in your area. I wish I knew about it when I was pregnant - it has all the tools I needed in one place. The Birthing Boutique So many additions have been made this month, but one I'm quite pleased with is the inclusion of a Birthing Boutique. Products range from maternity clothes, baby gear, to birthing products. It's powered by Amazon.com, a trusted source on the net. Did you enjoy this issue of Birthing Blocks? Then send it along to a friend! Let me know what else you'd like to see -- this is your ezine! Enjoy the long summer days, and take care! Happy Birthing! Catherine |
